Operator III

Main Tasks

• Assisting in the setup adjustment and operation of machinery to produce goods or parts according to specifications
• Supporting the acquisition of operation plans and carrying out the processing of manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients including mechanical processing as required
• Performing cleaning servicing and routine maintenance on machines to ensure they remain in good working order
• Supporting the monitoring of machines during operation to ensure they are functioning properly and carrying out repairs as needed
• Identifying problems (causes) that occur with machines and supporting the optimization of processes for troubleshooting
• Administering operational processes and keeping accurate records of machine performance

Essential Functions:

1. 1. Operate and maintain equipment according to requirements.
2. 2. Interpret and apply specifications such as drawings routings etc.
3. 3. Maintain appropriate records such as QA forms PM logs etc.
4. 4. Maintain 1st piece conformance and production rate.
5. 5. Maintain a clean safe and well-organized work area through 5S and Kaizens.
6. 6. Operate all equipment in accordance with safety requirements.
7. 7. Work with minimal supervision. Must be a Team Player .
8. 8. Must be able to perform all jobs in dept.
9. 9. Must be able to work overtime as required or needed .
10. 10. Must be able to diplomatically communicate and delegate tasks to assembly operators.
11. 11. Must possess leadership skills and grow as a leader within the department.

Additional Functions:

1. 1. Perform additional duties as assigned.
2. 2. Operate department maximizing efficiency and minimizing/eliminating scrap and waste.

Responsibility and Authority as Related to Quality:

1. 1. Ensure that quality standards are met. STOP CALL WAIT Protocol.
2. 2. Initiate recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
3. 3. Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and the quality system.
4. 4. Accurately complete all required documentation concerning production quantities defectives etc.
5. 5. Report any unsafe working condition.
6. 6. Help create a team environment among all department personnel.

Education Experience and Physical Requirements:

1. 1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 2. Demonstrate ability to perform essential functions including ability to move up to 50 lbs.
3. 3. Must be able to do repetitive work at an acceptable pace.
4. 4. Knowledge of applicable Work Instructions/Assembly Processes.
5. 5. Must be able to communicate effectively.
6. 6. Some knowledge/understanding of schedules.
7. 7. Must have a mechanical aptitude and understand the required set-up responsibilities.
8. 8. Must have or obtain powered lift license.
9. 9. Must be able to work under physical conditions that include; standing walking lifting kneeling etc.
