Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky in a contract role with permanent potential. This position supports daily shipping and receiving operations by handling documentation, coordinating order readiness, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working closely with warehouse and production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and organize shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing records, and order labels to support timely outbound deliveries.
• Partner with shipping personnel on the floor to confirm orders are complete and ready before materials are loaded for transport.
• Inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders to confirm quantities and item accuracy prior to storage.
• Enter shipping and receiving information into the inventory system with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
• Respond to routine internal questions about shipment status and direct carrier-related update requests to the appropriate team lead.
• Help maintain clean, orderly, and efficient shipping, receiving, and storage areas to support daily workflow.• Experience supporting logistics, shipping, or receiving operations in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Working knowledge of common shipping documentation and basic inventory control practices.
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and record accuracy.
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams regarding orders, deliveries, and shipment activity.
• Comfortable working in an active floor environment while coordinating clerical and operational tasks.
• Dependable organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining secure and orderly work areas.
