Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations through remote platforms, documenting case specifics from the first consultation through the conclusion of treatment. \n Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address the individual needs of clients, considering their mental, behavioral, and emotional health. \n Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to engage clients and promote personal growth. \n Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. \n Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to create cohesive intervention plans that facilitate comprehensive care. \n Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones through guidance and support. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Your work will primarily focus on assisting a diverse array of clients including individuals, couples, and families, each presenting unique mental health challenges. Our clients often include those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health conditions. Your depth of experience and understanding of various psychological theories will enable you to effectively engage with this diverse population, providing compassionate care tailored to their specific environments and circumstances. Qualifications\n \n Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n Current, valid licensure as LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. \n A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for effective client interactions and documentation. \n Solid understanding of confidentiality and ethical considerations in mental health counseling. \n Preferred Experience\n \n Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a strong ability to handle complex cases. \n Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to efficiently document and manage client information. \n Experience in working with various addiction disorders and comorbid conditions. \n Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines. \n Sensitivity to the effects of prescribed medications on client health and behavior. \n Compensation and Benefits\n The offered salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, providing a competitive remuneration package.
