This full-time, remote position allows you to make a profound difference in the lives of individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This is a remote position, providing flexibility in your schedule while working to meet the needs of your clients. You'll engage in telehealth services, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via secure online platforms. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be required based on patient needs, ensuring that we provide the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Perform comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather detailed histories of clients’ experiences and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at aiding recovery from trauma and fostering resilience.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients effectively process their trauma and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless continuum of care for each client.

  • Provide support and intervention during crisis situations, offering immediate assistance to clients facing trauma-related emergencies.
  • \n
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) compliant with legal and ethical standards while ensuring confidentiality.

  • Participate in case consultation meetings and ongoing professional development aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, primarily comprising individuals who are navigating the complex and often challenging impacts of trauma. This includes adult survivors of abuse, veterans, and individuals who have experienced significant life stressors that affect their mental health. Your role is pivotal in helping them find pathways to recovery and rebuilding their lives.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
  • \n
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and during high-stress situations.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard computer applications.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, particularly in delivering trauma-focused therapies.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing trauma-informed treatment plans.

  • Strong collaborative skills and a history of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
