About the Role:

The Nurse Supervisor - LVN plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of nursing staff within a healthcare facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position involves coordinating nursing activities, managing staff schedules, and serving as a liaison between nursing personnel and administrative management. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, while fostering a supportive and efficient work environment. They provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to Licensed Vocational Nurses and other nursing staff to promote professional development and optimal patient outcomes. Ultimately, this role ensures that nursing services are delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately to meet the needs of patients and the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of employment within the United States.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience as an LVN in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a nursing environment.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in nursing leadership or management (e.g., Nurse Manager Certification).
• Experience working in specialized care settings such as long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care.
• Advanced training in patient safety, quality improvement, or infection control.
• Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulatory agencies and accreditation standards.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills demonstrated in a healthcare context.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Licensed Vocational Nurses and other nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
• Develop and manage staff schedules to maintain adequate coverage and respond to fluctuating patient census and acuity levels.
• Monitor compliance with healthcare policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to nursing staff to support professional growth and maintain high standards of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and administrative personnel, to optimize patient care plans and resource utilization.
• Address and resolve patient care issues, staff concerns, and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to nursing activities, staffing, and patient care incidents.
