Primary Aide
St. Gerard Majella Catholic School - 2026-2027 School Year

St. Gerard Majella Catholic School is seeking a full-time Primary Aide to support our early elementary classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a caring, dependable, and faith-centered individual who is passionate about working with young children and contributing to a joyful, Christ-centered learning environment.

Position Overview
The Primary Aide will work closely with the homeroom teacher to support daily classroom instruction and ensure a positive, structured, and nurturing experience for all students. This role is essential in helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Responsibilities

• Assist the homeroom teacher with instructional activities and classroom routines
• Work with small groups and individual students to reinforce learning
• Provide supervision during transitions, recess, and other school activities
• Support classroom management and help maintain an organized, welcoming environment
• Demonstrate flexibility in daily tasks and a willingness to assist where needed
• Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and families
• Uphold and model the mission and values of St. Gerard Majella Catholic School

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
• Positive interpersonal communication skills
• Desire to work in a Christ-centered community and support the faith formation of students
