2nd Shift Materials Receiving Group Lead

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• • Ability to perform any shop floor Materials function

  • Communicate any problems to the Materials Technician

  • Cut shippers and B.O.L. for completed orders, returns, etc.

  • Assist the Technician in directing workflow and activities for Materials associates

  • Know how to look up inventory balances by location in the system and where to locate inventory

  • Assist associates as needed

  • Ability to perform or fill in for an associate when absent

  • Before leaving, ensure associates’ daily tasks are completed, including stocking areas, cleaning work areas, and completing any pre-staging for the next shift

  • Coordinate trailer movements with drivers and keep the trailer board up to date

  • Organize, file, and distribute all floor-oriented paperwork

  • Know how to perform the Receiving verification process

  • Be willing to cover other Lead/Supervisor functions to allow coverage for absences

  • Maintain excellent attendance

  • Be willing to work overtime with little to no notice

  • Be able to work with minimal supervision

  • Have experience with, or be willing to learn, AS/400 and the Infor system

  • Have experience with, or be willing to learn, Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Lead the shift meeting if the Technician is absent

  • Investigate parts shortages

  • Perform all other duties as assigned
