Details Emergency Department setting treating combined adult/pediatric patients 1:4 patient ratio Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM) 6 scheduled weekend shifts within a 6 week schedule Epic charting system used STEMI and stroke certified facility Trauma cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, and head injuries Requirements Active IL RN license required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC CPI certification preferred Minimum 2 years of ER experience required Prior charge nurse experience preferred Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and IV medication administration Experience managing dysrhythmias and interpreting cardiac rhythms Experience with CPAP/BiPAP management Experience with neuro-trauma, ortho-trauma, and CVA care Triage experience required 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma and medical cases including neuro-trauma, ortho-trauma, and cardiac emergencies Navy scrubs required Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions accepted Personal CAPRs or PAPRs are not permitted; facility does not provide these devices First-time travelers are not accepted for this unit Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted Travelers cannot work more than 1 year at this facility and must take a 6 month break before returning American Traveler Job ID P-747952.
