Key responsibilities include:Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for malignant and abnormal conditionsReview liquid-based cytology specimens (manual and imaged) as well as conventional slidesPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures and workload standardsMaintain accurate workload documentation and compliance with CLIA regulations and laboratory policiesEnsure the integrity, accuracy, and timely reporting of test resultsMeet established slide screening productivity and quality requirementsEnter finalized results into the laboratory information system accurately and efficientlySupport cytology processing and additional laboratory functions as neededFollow all HIPAA, infection control, and laboratory safety protocolsWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Biological Science or related fieldASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) CertificationAbility to pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency testingStrong understanding of cytology preparation techniquesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentSuccessful completion of a standardized color vision screenPreferred QualificationsPrevious Cytology laboratory experienceThinPrep certificationExperience with automated and non-automated testing platformsFamiliarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)Compensation & Benefits$43–$67/hour$15,000 Sign-On BonusMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysWhy Lighthouse Lab Services?At Lighthouse Lab Services, we specialize in helping clinical laboratories grow through exceptional staffing and recruiting solutions.
