Senior Accountant

A growing, entrepreneurial organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is a broad, hands‑on position that will have exposure to operational accounting, financial reporting, customer billing, inventory‑related accounting, and financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will work closely with accounting leadership and operational teams and will play an important role in strengthening processes as the organization continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Support the month‑end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and other close‑related activities. Manage and support customer invoicing and billing, partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Support accounting and tracking related to inventory procurement, management, and allocation. Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting accounting documentation. Provide oversight and support related to vendor and customer account management. Analyze financial and operational information, identify discrepancies or trends, and assist in resolving issues. Partner cross‑functionally with operations and other departments to improve accounting processes and financial visibility. Develop and improve accounting procedures, reporting tools, controls, and workflows as the organization continues to scale. Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new accounting/ERP systems and technology. Support new business initiatives, expansion efforts, and other special projects. Perform additional accounting and financial responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and build useful reporting tools. Experience working with ERP or accounting systems. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a growing and evolving organization. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in public accounting and/or a corporate accounting environment. Experience with inventory‑related accounting. Experience participating in an ERP implementation or accounting systems improvement project. Experience with Power BI or other financial reporting/analytics tools.
