Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN Certifications: Required certifications are RN Must-Have: - Trauma, Burn, Surgical ICU experience - Communication and critical thinking skills Description: General unit information: Number of beds: 30 Number of staff: 85 Type of staff: Day shift includes 1 CNC/Relief Charge and a variable number of RNs and PCTs based on census. Night shift includes 1 CNC/Relief Charge and a variable number of RNs and PCTs based on census. Patient ratios are 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for PCU. Type of equipment includes critical care equipment for burn and trauma ICU. Technology used is EMR - Meditech. Typical hiring profile includes most recruited skills. Candidates without trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience will not be considered for the role. Preferred skills include a BSN and CCRN certification. Typical procedures performed include wound care, codes, EVDs, and MTP. Best personality fit is team-based, willing to ask questions, and eager to help others. Floating areas may include MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit. Dress code is royal blue scrubs. A requirement for weekends is two weekends per pay period.
