Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift travel position in Athens, TX, requiring Epic EMR experience and active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg (MS/Tele) unit setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• Telemetry and respiratory patient population
• Skills utilized include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and management of cardiac drips (no titration)

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — license hit not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, medication management, and IV therapy

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation — all RTO must be disclosed upfront
• Onboarding modules are completed onsite during orientation and average 4–6 hours for RNs
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
