Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Nights)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 5-bed ICU (expanding to 10 beds) serving adult and geriatric populations — no pediatric patients
• Manage patients with diagnoses including DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric presentations (SI)
• Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers
• Maintain patient ratios of 2–3:1 in a critical care environment
• Document and manage patient records using the Medhost EHR system
• Complete all required pre-assignment screenings, including the Tennessee Abuse Registry check , prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the State of Tennessee
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior critical care or ICU travel nursing experience
• Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Familiarity with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
