Job Title: Weekend Material Handler

Job Description

This entry-level Material Handler position involves using pallet jacks to move materials around the warehouse and assisting with the loading and unloading process of trucks. The role is part of a rapidly growing team, requiring work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include packaging and unpacking units, wrapping and unwrapping palettes, and placing electronics such as modems and controls into boxes. Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial as items will be sent directly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Use pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Participate in packaging and unpacking of units.
• Wrap and unwrap palettes.
• Place electronics in boxes for shipment.
• Ensure items are prepared accurately for customer delivery.
• Maintain a fast-paced workflow.
• Communicate effectively with team members.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 months warehouse experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable with a strong attendance record.
• Self-motivated and proactive in staying busy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for potential data entry.
• ESL speakers are welcome, provided they have a good command of English.
• Experience with forklifts and RF scanners is beneficial.
• Ability to handle logistics, shipping, and receiving tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, MA.

The pay range for this position is $17.97 - $17.97/hr.
