Job Description
The Workers Compensation Defense Legal Assistant supports a small legal team by managing case documentation and preparing materials integral to workers compensation defense cases. This role involves frequent direct communication with clients and requires strong organizational skills to handle correspondence, track deadlines, and maintain thorough file systems using tools such as Adobe and Microsoft Word. Must have knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft word and prior secretarial experience. Part time is negotiable for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize case documents efficiently
- Prepare case files and legal materials for review and court submission
- Communicate regularly and directly with clients to provide updates and gather information
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of all legal correspondence and filings
- Handle correspondence and communications related to ongoing cases
- Utilize Adobe and Microsoft Word for document preparation and editing
- Maintain accurate and detailed case file organization
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in legal assistance
- Proficient typing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
