ICU Registered Nurse

Overview A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse at a 392-bed acute care hospital in Hudson, Florida. As a designated Level II Trauma Center, the hospital is home to an accredited Heart Institute, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center, while also offering specialized services in Cancer Care, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery. This role is ideal for a compassionate critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients by assessing their condition, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering treatments and medications, and continuously evaluating patient outcomes. Accurate documentation, collaboration with the healthcare team, and patient and family education are essential parts of this role. Candidates with experience in Medical ICU (MICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), or Cardiac Step-Down/CSU are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for critically ill patients. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders. Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in clinical status. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including test results and assessments. Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and recovery expectations. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care. Promote patient safety while following hospital policies and evidence-based nursing practices. Qualifications Current Florida Registered Nurse license required or compact RN license with Florida licensure obtained within 60 days of hire. Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum of one year of recent ICU experience required. Previous acute care hospital experience strongly preferred. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire or transfer. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within six months of hire or transfer.
