What You Will Be Doing Creating and facilitating small‑group K‑2 reading workshops rooted in structured‑literacy principles (Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, or comparable), informed by live student performance data. Running daily motivation sessions aimed at ensuring 100% of students reach their weekly adaptive‑app benchmarks, leveraging Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, age‑appropriate gamification). Conducting and interpreting running records, fluency assessments, and decoding evaluations to monitor progress and refine subsequent instruction. Analyzing AI‑generated performance metrics from Alpha's adaptive learning platforms to differentiate instruction dynamically, not solely during preparation. Serving as the approachable, high‑energy adult your K‑2 students are excited to see each day. Your initial months focus on winning the room. What You Won’t Be Doing Implementing a commercial reading curriculum, scripted lesson plan, or district‑mandated pacing guide; you create your own lessons based on student data. Delivering whole‑class lectures; all instruction occurs in targeted small groups while students engage with academic content through adaptive applications. Serving as a reading consultant, instructional coach, or district‑level coordinator; you work directly with students in the classroom daily. Managing a conventional classroom schedule—subject‑by‑subject instruction, homework correction, test preparation; your schedule consists of workshops, motivation sessions, and data‑informed small‑group work. Grading assignments or issuing report cards; student advancement is tracked through app analytics and your assessment records. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Puerto Rico without requiring visa sponsorship. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for the Dorado, Puerto Rico campus.
