Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments through interviews, observations, and the review of medical records to evaluate factors influencing each patient’s recovery journey.
- Providing empathetic counseling and support to patients and their families, particularly regarding adjustment issues, emotional distress, and coping strategies during rehabilitation.
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans that consider both psychological and social needs.
- Facilitating access to community resources, including support groups, vocational rehabilitation, and housing assistance, ensuring that patients have the necessary tools for a successful recovery.
- Educating patients and their families on available community resources and post-rehabilitation services to foster effective transitions back into their lives.
- Participating in discharge planning to prepare patients for their next steps following rehabilitation, enhancing their independence and integration into the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily focus on assisting individuals who are navigating complex recovery processes, including those in our detox center. The patients you serve may face challenges such as substance use disorders, physical disabilities from accidents, or cognitive impairments due to neurological conditions. Your role will be essential in fostering emotional resilience and helping them build effective coping mechanisms, ultimately promoting a successful transition to independence.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kansas.
- Strong understanding of psychosocial factors, adjustment issues, grief, and coping mechanisms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for patient advocacy and support.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
