Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Level 1 Trauma

Job Description Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse for Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. Eligible nurses qualify for sign‑on and relocation bonuses. Full‑time night shift (7 pm‑7 am); three 12‑hour shifts. Includes weekend, holiday and call rotations. During orientation the nurse will rotate through all shifts (days, middays and nights). Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Conduct all patient care in a patient and family‑centered manner. Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery. Minimum Qualifications Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. Certification: BLS from American Heart Association. Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required. Preferred Qualifications Prefer minimum (2) years ED RN experience.
