Description:
Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse
The role requires experience in a fast-paced operating room environment.
The nurse will work in an operating room with 9 surgical rooms.
Will not be required to float between different units.
On-call duties include 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month.
Night calls during the week are from 11 PM to 7 AM.
Weekend call shifts are at various times.
Candidates are not open to accommodating a block schedule.
The facility is a Trauma Level 1 and teaching hospital.
Total staffed beds in the facility are 228.
Scrub color will be provided.
Charting system used is SIS.
Parking is the responsibility of the employee.
Public transportation is accessible nearby.
Daily patient census is approximately 25.
Number of patients per shift is on a 1:1 ratio.
Staffing includes interdisciplinary support.
The unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations.
Candidates should possess skills in a variety of surgical procedures.
Experience with robotic surgery is beneficial but not required.
Training will be provided for any specific surgical techniques as needed.
