We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support essential financial operations for a client in High Point, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings accuracy, organization, and a strong grasp of day-to-day accounting activity. The role will focus on maintaining smooth payment processes, supporting billing accuracy, and ensuring financial records are properly balanced and up to date.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and outgoing payments in a timely manner while maintaining accurate accounts payable records.

• Monitor incoming customer payments, apply receipts correctly, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable activities.

• Prepare and review billing transactions to help ensure invoices are complete, accurate, and issued on schedule.

• Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies to support clean and reliable financial reporting.

• Maintain accounting documentation and update financial records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Assist with routine accounting tasks and provide support for daily financial operations across the department.

• Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities in a detail-focused accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of billing processes, payment tracking, and account reconciliation practices.
• Ability to manage accounting records accurately while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Proficiency in general accounting functions and comfort working with financial data and documentation.
• Effective communication and organizational skills to coordinate with internal teams and external contacts as needed.
