Home Hospice Driver

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

AM shifts, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) with 8-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Home Hospice Driver will provide essential transportation services to hospice patients within the designated coverage area. This role is vital in ensuring patients receive the care they need in a timely manner. The position requires a commitment to service excellence and the ability to navigate various territories efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Transport hospice patients to and from appointments and therapy sessions as required.
• Maintain a high productivity level with an expectation of 24-30 visits per week.
• Assist in coordinating patient care logistics in collaboration with healthcare staff.
• Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and transportation regulations.
• Provide support in other territories as needed, within a 60-mile radius of the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are mandatory.
• Previous experience in hospice care is required.
• Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) is preferred; however, applicants may be considered without this experience for a reduced rate if willing to be trained for up to two weeks.
