(GH) Medical Equipment Contracts Administrator

Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position within the Medical Equipment Management Service at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service. As a member of the Medical Equipment Contracts team the successful candidate will provide administrative support for the management of external contracts for maintenance and repair of medical equipment within NHS Lothian. Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for external maintenance and repair contracts. Coordinate communication and documentation between NHS Lothian and external contractors. Ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records of contracts, performance and compliance. Assist in the preparation of service reports and data for management review. Collaborate with team members to streamline contract processes and support the overall service delivery. Qualifications HND level education in a business administration discipline or equivalent training and experience. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and proactive with a strong commitment to accuracy. Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple priorities. Strong organisational skills and a high level of confidentiality. Requirements Permanent position based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Travel to various hospitals in Lothian may be required. Applicant must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. Must hold a current Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). Applicants without current PVG membership must obtain a satisfactory report from Disclosure Scotland before commencing. Legal and Additional Information Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a regulated role, the appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme.
