Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Kitting & Assembly Material Handler in Cartersville, GA. In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for building assemblies from blueprints, executing precise kitting processes, and supporting inventory control inside a modern manufacturing facility. In a Kitting & Assembly Material Handler job you’ll be responsible for: Reading job travelers, work orders, and blueprints to identify parts and verify significant components. Assembling components using basic hand tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers). Measuring components and materials accurately using a tape measure and the decimal system. Performing precise math and inventory calculations for kitting processes and weight measurements. Utilizing ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and Google Workspace to track materials and document tasks. Operating safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE). What you’ll need: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and written job instructions. Proficiency with hand tools and basic computer systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, or ERP tools). Strong math skills, including comfort with decimal system calculations and weight measurements. Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, lifting up to 25–50 lbs as needed. Excellent communication, high attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork. All necessary PPE gear provided on-site.
