Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room / Med Surg

Schedule: May float between Emergency Room and Med Surg.

Requirements:

• Kansas state or multistate RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (all AHA)
• Previous experience is preferred, but open to first-time travelers
• Consideration for candidates with under 3 years of experience
• Familiarity with Athena EMR is beneficial

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Emergency Room and Med Surg settings.
• Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

• No set scrub colors required.
• Accepts COVID vaccine exemptions; flu vaccine not required.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is generally around 1:3, with a maximum of 5:1.
• Staff includes 2 nurses, 1 aide, and 1 staff secretary on the floor.
