Production And Warehousing ManagerUnder general direction and in conformance with divisional policies, procedures and objectives, plan and control the production and warehousing activities and the inventory investment of a branch plant. Plan, develop necessary procedures and direct the activities for which responsible. Provide analysis, counsel, advice and recommendations where appropriate to assist plant in achieving goals and objectives.Analyze customer orders and sales forecasts to prepare plant production and inventory plans.Review actual plant performance against sales and production plans. Recommend corrective action(s) to bring results in line with plans or recommend change in production and inventory plans to recognize differences between actual and forecasts.Direct and monitor production control activities to assure that balanced inventories are maintained and that production and purchase releases are scheduled to meet production and inventory investment objectives.Plan and direct the activities for which responsible such as Shipping, Warehousing, Production Scheduling, and Inventory Control (raw materials and finished goods).May be responsible for directing purchasing activity for expense items. Maintain contact with all vendors of material and components to insure uninterrupted supply. Resolve discrepancies concerning items that fail to meet in-coming quality standards.CMS Principle Champion for Material Control.Prepare capacity planning analyses. Recommend purchase of additional capacity where necessary.Assist in developing and maintaining the integrity of computerized production/inventory control systems. Supervise the operation of such systems. Insure data integrity by developing systematic cycle counting to maintain accuracy.Direct warehousing activities and insure adherence to governmental safety and health regulations and personnel policies and procedures.Required:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical or business field.Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment.Minimum of 2 years' experience successfully supervising a team.Preferred:SAP experience, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CPIM.Demonstrable knowledge with MRP master data set-up, production versions, routings, warehouse management, inventory management, production activities, and RF transactions.Our Florence, Kentucky components plant began operations in 1978 and here is home to our components plant which manufactures PowerFrame ® grids and our battery containers and covers.
