School Nurse

Prestigious and well respected school in Miami Beach is seeking a school nurse on a three‑month contract during school hours. Salary: $40–$50 per hour. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, illness management, and medication administration. Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions. Conduct health screenings and assessments, including vision and hearing tests. Promote health education and preventative health practices among students and staff. Collaborate with school staff and parents to manage the health needs of students. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records. Respond to health emergencies and coordinate care with other healthcare providers as needed. Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Nationally Certified School Nurse (NCSN) certification. Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make critical decisions. Knowledge of current health and safety laws and regulations. Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills. Ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
