Field Director, Medical Science Liaisons - West Region - U.S. Medical, Bone Health

Field Director overseeing Medical Science Liaisons across a multi-state western and central U.S. region for Amgen's Bone Health franchise. Responsible for strategic direction, team management, coaching, and execution of field medical initiatives while ensuring compliance and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to regional MSL team aligned with corporate objectives
- Coach, develop, and evaluate MSL performance while fostering continuous improvement culture
- Partner with medical leadership to develop field medical strategy, tactics, and scientific engagement plans
- Oversee peer-to-peer scientific engagement with opinion leaders and healthcare decision makers
- Ensure MSL team compliance with standards and completion of administrative and training requirements
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 4+ years medical affairs experience, or Master's degree with 8+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 10+ years
- 4+ years direct managerial experience managing people or leading teams and projects
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
- 7+ years pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience in scientific/medical affairs
- 7+ years clinical practice, research, or medically-related field experience
- 3+ years prior medical science liaison role experience preferred
