Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Heat Press Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will play an important part in bringing custom apparel designs to life by accurately applying materials to garments using heat press equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Garment Preparation & Pressing

• Receive pre-batched orders from the Marrying Associate and verify that all required components are present.
• Load garments onto heat press platens accurately, ensuring garments are straight, even, and properly positioned.
• Position transfers and other application materials on garments according to job specifications, including proper placement, orientation, and alignment.
• Operate heat press equipment safely and efficiently while following the required time, temperature, and pressure settings for each material.
• Maintain a consistent and productive work pace while prioritizing accuracy and quality.
• Follow job instructions and production standards to ensure finished products meet company expectations.

Quality Assurance & Teamwork

• Inspect completed garments for alignment, placement, pressing quality, imperfections, and other potential defects.
• Participate in peer-to-peer quality checks to help maintain consistent standards across the production team.
• Provide a second set of eyes and support coworkers when additional review or assistance is needed.
• Communicate defects, discrepancies, or production concerns to the Team Lead promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet shared production goals.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment.

Workspace & Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the workday.
• Follow all company safety, cleanliness, and production procedures.
• Assist with general housekeeping and other production-area tasks as needed.
• Properly care for and safely operate heat press equipment and related tools.

Precision & Skill Application

• Use rulers, measuring tapes, and other measuring tools to ensure accurate application placement when required.
• Use visual judgment and attention to detail to determine proper garment positioning and application placement.
• Consistently apply established placement standards and job specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous production, manufacturing, apparel, or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Comfortable using basic measuring tools such as rulers and measuring tapes.
• Ability to maintain a consistent, steady pace while producing quality work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of quality control practices.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
