Genesis10 is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator for a contract‑to‑hire position with a major food production company located in Lenox, IA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. Pay Rate: $28.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position. Responsibilities Enter and maintain all employee data in UltiPro and Kronos, including new hire entry, terminations, and changes to position, salary, address, supervisor, or location Monitor and process completed internal forms from the Payroll inbox Manage the Pay Cards and related process Monitor Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Personal Time (PPT) and Floating Holiday (FH) balances for all employees by running biweekly audit and balance reports Retrieve PPT for Salaried employees from internal systems and enter it on the payroll exceptions spreadsheet Enter Time Off Requests for Administrative and Hourly employees in Kronos Interact with various department supervisors or managers to obtain missing documentation/information Prepare biweekly payroll files and send for processing Run biweekly audits to ensure accurate entry in both Kronos and UltiPro Prepare reports for supervisors and/or management as needed Assist with hosting/leading monthly payroll conference calls Assist in development of overall payroll procedures by recommending improvements or changes Ensure procedures (SOPs) are current for payroll related processes Conduct Kronos and Ulti training for HR/Payroll employees (may require travel) Conduct Kronos training for Supervisors/Managers at various locations (may require travel) Monitor SOX regulated items (rate audits) for all company payrolls Run Safety Hours report monthly if applicable Maintain payroll documents as per retention guidelines Complete employment verifications in line with company guidelines Complete Unemployment Claim paperwork Assume personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone by adhering to all safety policies and procedures Adhere to Quality work practices, focus on GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained Able to work overtime and holidays when needed Ensure regulatory compliance at all times Perform other payroll or HR duties as assigned Requirements Associate degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience Ability to work with minimal supervision Proficient with computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and payroll/HRIS related software Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy Desired skills Previous payroll, HR, and/or accounting experience Ability to process payroll for multiple client locations Benefits Access to hundreds of clients, most who have been working with Genesis10 for 5-20+ years.
