Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Euclid, OH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. This position requires a strong background in medical-surgical nursing with a focus on telemetry patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in patient management and care coordination in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients, interpreting ECG rhythms and responding appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments and document changes in condition and response to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and post-discharge care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• Active and permanent Ohio Nursing License or Compact State License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Recent Epic charting experience (within the last 6 months) is required.
• Two references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months.
