Essential Job Duties:
* Caring for Pullets and/or Hens on a daily basis
* Cleaning the houses daily
* Ensuring proper water and feed levels, monitor for any water leaks
* Ensure proper ventilation and temperatures, taking appropriate action when needed
* Check feeder chains to make sure they are moving and full of feed.
* Complete all cleaning calendar work daily
* Daily mortality checks and follow procedures
* Complete dry cleaning of empty chicken houses between flocks
* Set up of houses for new pullets/hens as assigned
* Disinfect house and door covers as assigned
* Operate, repair, and maintain manure belt operations as assigned
* Run limited equipment as assigned
* Perform weekly cleaning as assigned by management and/or supervisors
* Any other duties assigned by management
*Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect or breach of bio-security to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.

Qualifications:
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
* Able to work around moving machinery comfortably.
* Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as assigned
* Working in a farm environment with very dusty conditions
* Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine or birds
