Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Must be comfortable with baby and delivered mother Description: Required qualifications include a state RN license. Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications. NRP provider certification is necessary. Advanced fetal monitoring skills are essential. The nurse must be comfortable with the care of mothers and babies. The role includes the administration of medications and therapies. Duties encompass assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Nurses will be responsible for pain assessment and management. Candidates should have experience with fetal heart monitoring. Knowledge of infection control precautions is required. The nurse will perform sterile vaginal exams and care for perineal areas. Experience with starting and maintaining IVs is needed. The nursing role involves the use of infusion pumps and IV monitoring. Candidates should be adept at family-centered care practices. Project efficiency in a high-paced environment is important. The candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Experience in charting systems is preferred. Knowledge of maternal and neonatal emergencies is necessary. Previous charge experience is a plus.
