Direct Support Professional Full Time Los Angeles, CA, US Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly Shift Times Day Shift Mon: 8am-2pm Tue: 8am-2pm Wed: 8am-2pm Thu: 8am-2pm Fri: 8am-2pm Sat: OFF Sun: OFF Qualifications A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving a personal vehicle to and from various community locations; if a company vehicle is available one must also be 21 years of age Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred. Responsibilities Your work will directly improve the quality of life for the individuals you support and help them have positive interactions with others to reach their goals. Assist individuals with personal needs such as hygiene (baths/showers, changing clothes, teeth brushing, medication reminders) and with social needs (preparing meals, cleaning, engaging with them through exercise, movement, games, and transporting them in your or a company vehicle to community activities). Keep accurate progress notes and proactively communicate information with your team about the individuals’ needs. Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings to build your knowledge, skills and abilities to grow. Take ownership of your own behaviors, help coach others, and demonstrate the company’s C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, empowerment).
