Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field as required by individual clients.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required. Acceptable certifications: MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), MLS(ASCP) or MLS(AMT).
• In licensure states, Laboratory Licensure in the appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred. Experience in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, and performing gram stains preferred.
• Experience with Sysmex XN-1000, Siemens CA-660, Siemens Dimension EXL, Ortho manual gel, and Sofia 2 platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with MEDHOST / AS-400 EMR preferred.
• BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in hospital laboratory environments.
• Previous travel or per diem laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to follow block scheduling and facility dress code requirements (red top with black bottoms).

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 1500-0330.
• Shift pattern includes multi-day blocks (example: 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off).
• No call required.
• No floating required.
• Block scheduling. Request submissions with subject line indicating block schedule when applicable.
