Bloom Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Mental Health Therapist to join our growing pediatric and family-centered therapy team.

We are looking for a therapist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, parents, and families and who understands the importance of treating the whole family. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing individual, family, and/or parent-focused therapy and will enjoy working collaboratively with other healthcare and therapy professionals.

Bloom Therapy Center provides a multidisciplinary environment where Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Mental Health Services can work together to support the needs of the whole child and family.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or parent-focused mental health services based on clinical expertise and patient needs.
  • Complete comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to the client's age, diagnosis, developmental level, and treatment goals.
  • Work with children and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, and mental health challenges.
  • Support clients with areas such as:
    • Anxiety and stress management
    • Emotional regulation
    • Coping skills
    • Behavioral concerns
    • Social skills and relationships
    • Self-esteem and confidence
    • Family and parent-child relationships
    • Life transitions and adjustment
    • Trauma-related concerns, as within the therapist's scope of practice
  • Provide parent education and support when clinically appropriate.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to promote consistency and carryover of therapeutic strategies across environments.
  • Collaborate with OT, PT, Speech Therapy, and other providers when appropriate to support coordinated, whole-person care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment approaches as clinically indicated.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Follow all applicable federal and Louisiana laws, professional standards, ethical requirements, payer requirements, and Bloom Therapy Center policies.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for clients and families.

Qualifications

  • Current Louisiana independent mental health license required.
  • License must allow the clinician to provide services independently without requiring clinical supervision for the services being provided.
  • Examples may include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or another appropriately licensed mental health professional , as applicable to the position and services provided.
  • Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • Current professional license in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain one, if required by the clinic.
  • Pediatric, adolescent, parent, or family therapy experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with children with developmental differences or disabilities is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
