About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS Must-Have: - Candidates will be caring for COVID-19 patients, approximately 50% of patients in the unit. - Experience with cardiac patients, post-angioplasty care, and management of diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, and complicated abdominal or bowel surgeries is preferred. - Candidates must be willing to float to multiple ICU situations, though it is highly unlikely. - Experience with EPIC charting system is a plus but not required. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. The unit has 20 beds and treats a variety of critical care patients, including those with COVID-19. Candidates will handle a mix of cases, including cardiac conditions and post-surgical complications. There may be a requirement to float within the ICU as needed. Candidates should be prepared to work nights and weekends as scheduled. No false nails are allowed. The unit has a total of about 36 COVID-19 patients currently.
