Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 34 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Schedule: RN Labor Delivery – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Location: Henrico Doctors Hospital – Forest, VA; Richmond, VA 23229 Unit: L&D Unit Information Number of Beds: 16 LDR, 3 OR, 3 Triage, 3 RR Number of Staff: 70 Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 12 RNs, 2-3 Surgical Techs Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 6-7 RNs, 1 Surgical Tech Patient Ratios: AWHONN ratios aiming 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 (low acuity) Equipment: Novii monitors, iMobile, headsets, pass‑through skin‑to‑skin C‑section drape, deep soaker tubs, light therapy, aroma therapy EMR: CPN and Meditech Must Have Current (within previous 2 years) Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring L&D experience Current NRP and BLS certification Preferred or Nice to Have Experience at facilities with >3000 births per year Patient preference-focused approach Typical Procedures Performed Labor, delivery, recovery, triage, antepartum, circulate for C‑section 1st hour baby care (excluding admission assessment, eyes and thighs) Breastfeeding assistance Benefits Dental benefits Vision benefits Referral bonus Continuing Education Life insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
