Data Engineer

Seeking an experienced Data Engineer, the full-time role will focus on building secure and reliable data capabilities for a mission-driven platform, involving tasks such as designing ETL/ELT pipelines, onboarding new data sources, and implementing data quality checks, with opportunities for remote work from various locations including Virginia and Maryland. Key responsibilities Design, develop, and operate batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion from multiple sources Implement automated data-quality checks and ensure data lineage and governance throughout the data lifecycle Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate mission needs into measurable data products and maintain documentation Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field 5+ years of professional data engineering experience, including pipeline development and operations Strong SQL expertise and proficiency in Python, Java, R, or similar programming languages Experience with modern data-integration frameworks like Apache Airflow or AWS Glue Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS
