School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Youll engage with a diverse student population, contribute to individualized education plans, and play a meaningful role in students academic and social success. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program and active SLPA licensure for the state. Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred. Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders. Ability to follow therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach. Adaptable, organized, and committed to student growth. Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech and language therapy sessions to students, as directed by supervising SLP. Implement specialized therapy techniques and document student progress. Assist with developing and modifying instructional materials to support student goals. Maintain regular communication with SLP, educators, and parents regarding student needs and progress. Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as appropriate. Ensure compliance with all school policies and federal/state regulations regarding special education services.
