Mobile Maintenance Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Lancaster, California .


Overview


The mobile maintenance technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. They assist in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks to ensure proper functionality and safety of building systems.


Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• Perform general interior maintenance, such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems
• Perform minor plumbing repairs
• Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance
• Move office furniture, machinery, and other materials as requested
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting occupancy and operations
• Be on call for after-hours emergencies
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety of work areas
• Maintain compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and laws
• Store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials safely
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Document work performed and materials procured as directed
• Lift a minimum of 80 lbs., work with ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive frequently
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Work independently or in a team environment as a self-motivated individual
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applicable experience in building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work
• Valid state driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an applicable technical training program
