Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, ensuring safe and effective support during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and monitor fetal and maternal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring all clinical protocols are followed.
• Educate patients on birthing processes, postpartum care, and breastfeeding.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, providing immediate interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
• Strong understanding of obstetric assessments and neonatal care.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• BLS and NRP certification required; ACLS preferred.
