The Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary procedures and related activities according to department standards. The RT is responsible for providing medically prescribed respiratory care procedures designed to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of California
• Recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a RRT preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred, but we will consider those with less experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required before starting work

Wages are based on prior related experience.

In addition to acute care and surgical services, the hospital provides emergency services. The hospital operates several outpatient clinics, including surgery, orthopedic, occupational health, pain management, wound care, behavioral health, three primary care clinics, and two physical therapy/sports rehabilitation clinics in Arcata and Willow Creek. There is a 2-acre on-site farm that provides our cafeteria with produce for serving patients and staff.
