– Support the nursing and phlebotomy team by helping with draw room duties, including specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.

– Maintain the integrity of the waiting area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.

– Document and record all relevant patient information accurately and in compliance with confidentiality standards.

– Provide coverage for staffing shortages by assisting with patient check-ins and breaks, demonstrating flexibility and team-oriented attitude.

– Uphold safety protocols and maintain a professional environment at all times, adhering to established healthcare standards.

– Demonstrate a commitment to organizational goals by promoting a positive image and delivering high-quality customer service.

– Proven ability to handle patients with care and compassion, ensuring a positive patient experience.

– Experience in customer service, ideally with direct patient contact, retail, or healthcare support roles.

– Basic phlebotomy skills, including specimen collection, with familiarity in forensic and clinical procedures.

– Strong data entry and keyboarding skills for accurate documentation and record-keeping.

– Excellent communication skills, including explaining procedures clearly to patients and maintaining confidentiality.

– High school diploma or equivalent is required.

– Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience, such as retail or home health aide roles.

– Experience or internship in phlebotomy is required, with any formal training or certification preferred.

– Willingness to work in both the lobby and draw room, including assisting with patient check-ins and covering breaks.

– Ability to perform specimen collection and processing confidently and following established practices.

– Flexibility to support staffing shortages and work a schedule that may include varying shifts in a clinical setting.
