Position Summary The Camp Program Coordinator supports the Camp Director in overseeing daily camp operationsandprogramming,includingResidentCamp,FamilyCamp,andotheryouthand family programs. This role manages multiple program areas, supervises staff, ensures camper safety, and maintains program quality. Responsibilities include staff training, program planning, activity facilitation, and coordination of resources and logistics. Key Responsibilities ProgramLeadershipand Delivery Overseeanddeliverengaging,safe,andinclusivecampprogramsandactivitiessuch as archery, canoeing, ropes, hiking, and team-building. Planandcoordinatecamp-wideeventsthatmeettheneedsofvariousagegroups and participants. Evaluateandimproveprogramstoenhanceparticipation,accessibility,andquality. Staff Supervision and Development Superviseandmentorprogramandcampstaff,providingongoingcoachingand feedback. Leadorassistinstafftrainingfocusedonleadership,camperengagement,and conflict resolution. Conductregularteammeetingstoshareupdates,gatherfeedback,andsupport collaboration. CamperandCommunity Support Operationsand Administration Overseeassignedbudgetsandensureresponsibleuseof resources. Supportadministrativetasksrelatedtoscheduling,reporting,andprogram coordination. Participateinon-callrotationsandrespondtoemergenciesfollowingestablished safety protocols. Complianceand Safety EnsureallprogramsfollowYMCA,ACAandorganizationalsafety standards. Keepcertificationscurrentandensurestaffmeetrequiredtraining standards. Qualifications 2+yearsofexperienceworkingwith youth. 1+yearsofexperienceworkinginaresidentcamp setting. Creativityandexpertiseinareassuchasarts,culture,health,fitness,orthe outdoors. Advancedproficiencyinsupervisingandmentoringyouthand staff. Demonstratedabilitytoworkeffectivelywithindividualsofdiverseages,backgrounds, and experiences. Strongleadership,interpersonal,andproblem-solvingskills,includingactivelistening, empathy, and accountability. This role is primarily outdoors, requiring physical stamina, mobility, and the ability to lift equipment, lead activities, and assist campers as needed. Extended periods of standing, walking, and participation in physical activities are expected. Flexibility is required for long, variablehours,includingovernightshifts.Mealsandlodgingareprovidedforthedurationof the summer camp program.
