Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Hours per Week Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience in CVICU with required patient types Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions. The unit has a total of 28 beds with patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1. Critical skills include experience with ECMO, LVAD, heart transplants, and proficiency in titrating critical care drips such as inotropes and sedation. The team will work alongside intensivists and advanced practice providers who are available 24/7. Respiratory therapy support will also be present around the clock. Telemetry monitoring is crucial for this role, and nurses must be able to recognize ECG changes. The scheduling requirements include working weekends and holidays as part of the permanent staff rotation. The dress code is royal blue scrubs. Candidates must be prepared for a floating requirement to other ICU or stepdown units as needed.
