Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will:

  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's background and trauma history.

  • Utilize evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to foster healing in patients.

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and achieve emotional stability.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to provide integrated care tailored to each patient's needs.

  • Administer crisis intervention services as necessary, addressing trauma-related emergencies and supporting patients in distress.

  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources to enhance understanding and coping.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient information.

  • Engage in interdisciplinary case consultations and participate in regular team meetings to share best practices and enrich trauma-informed treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve treating individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to physical or emotional abuse, loss or significant grief, and other distressing life events. Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care methods.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-specific therapeutic interventions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a non-judgmental and compassionate therapeutic relationship.

  • The capacity to maintain composure in high-stress environments.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and related software.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value diverse backgrounds. Previous experience working with trauma survivors and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will be considered advantageous.
