This is an amazing opportunity for a full-time Registered (Licensed) Veterinary Technician. Generous compensation and great collaborative group of doctors and staff (many have been with the practice long term). Noah's Ark Animal Clinics now boast three state-of-the-art clinics and two wellness clinics, caring for over 60,000 dogs and cats in Greater Cincinnati each year. Modern practice with EZVet, infinity, ultrasound, digital rads (dental and full body). We promote a teaching environment and value the personal and professional growth of every staff member.
Qualifications and Requirements
As a Veterinary Technician Professional you already have a pretty good idea as to the day-to-day requirements of being a talented Veterinary Technician. Here are some of the key skills that we are seeking that are relevant to this opportunity:
- RVT or equivalent certification
- 1+ years of experience working as a Vet Technician
- Proficiency with surgery, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging and dentistry
- Venipuncture and IV Catheter Placement
- Vaccine and Preventative knowledge
- Medication dispensing and administering
- Collection and analysis of lab samples
- Efficiency and time management skills, as well as the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment while keeping a keen attention to detail
Core Responsibilities
The primary purpose and function of the Veterinary Technician is to support Veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care, advocating for pets and educating clients.
- Work collaboratively with the medical team and under the direct supervision of the Veterinarians to execute patient treatment plans
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients and coworkers - great things happen when everyone works together
- Maintain a positive, supportive team approach at all times
- Ability to escalate feedback to management rather than participating in workplace gossip
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a desire to continue to advance your skill set and knowledge
- Ability to work in a changing environment
