Qualifications: Completion of an approved program in School Social Work at the Bachelor's level or above Must hold, or be eligible to hold a license in School Social Work Must be willing to complete any requirements to obtain or maintain a North Carolina License in School Social Work within required time limit, in order to remain compliant with NCDPI's State Board Policy Experience preferred Conduct assessments of student needs Promoteregular school attendance Conduct home visitsPromote safe, caring and drug free schools Provide individual counseling Facilitate group counseling Conduct family needs assessments Act as a liaison with the court system Promote awareness of substance and child abuse Other duties as assigned by Superintendent, Principal, or Designee Act as the representative for homeless students within the district and provide required services to those students This position provides support to several schools in the district.
