About the Role

ShareSTAFF is hiring a Nuclear Med Tech for a contract assignment at a Hospital in Pikeville, Kentucky. Pikeville Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support their Nuclear Medicine department on a travel contract. This role performs isotope administration, imaging, and patient care for nuclear medicine procedures within a fast-paced hospital imaging department, working closely with radiologists and department staff to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging and patient flow.

What You'll Do

• Performs venipuncture and measures/administers isotopes for scheduled procedures. Positions patients and performs imaging series per protocol, sending completed images to PACS for radiologist interpretation. Completes radiation safety and equipment testing documentation. Prepares patients for exams, including required questionnaires, and educates patients/families on the procedure. Maintains patient exam history, files, and prep documentation. Rotates on-call assignment for 24-hour department coverage and coordinates scheduling across departments to support patient flow. Maintains and rotates workstation supplies with cost-efficient use of department resources. Serves as preceptor for new employee orientation as needed. Maintains compliance with infection control, safety, personnel, and code of conduct policies, and upholds patient confidentiality and respect at all times

What You Bring - Required

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology/Nuclear Medicine program. NMTCB or ARRT certification (required). Kentucky State certification (required — candidate must hold or have proof of application on file). BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of travel assignment experience. Hands-on experience operating nuclear medicine equipment. Familiarity with Keyboard Patient Registration and Siemens software

What You Bring - Preferred

• Prior experience in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department with high patient volume. Experience precepting or orienting new staff. Comfort with rotating on-call coverage in a 24-hour department
